This includes people who identify as Black African, African Australian, Afro-Caribbean, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and people of African descent. This experience exists because the Australian Open's Black and African Diaspora community has been historically underserved by mainstream tennis marketing and access programs. The Black Joy Slam is designed to create belonging, celebration, and genuine access for our community at Australia's Grand Slam.
